This is our GEN-2 Side Mounted Bipod Kit, which is specifically designed by Airgun Detectives for breakbarrel and underlever air rifles. This took me years to design, develop and finally manufacture. All the hard work paid off and we are proud to provide the GEN-2 Bipod Kit. We took all the great features of Gen-1 Kit and improved them. The GEN-2 feet are now a rubber-based compound, rather than the plastic base in Gen-1. This allows the bipod to grip much better on smooth or slippery surfaces. Because the GEN-2 feet are made of a supple material it also prevents the feet from cracking, as we observed in some cases with the GEN-1 series. In developing this GEN-2 kit, I did a lot of research and gathered information from many airgun enthusiasts. I received some feedback from some hunters in regard to the “Tension Bolt” on the GEN-1 models. The bolt would have a tendency to irritate the shoulder when a sling was used with the air rifle. We addressed that with the GEN-2 in that we reduced the length of the bolt and smoothed off the edges. Additionally, we also improved the locking mechanism in that we flattened out the release knob, and slightly increased the spring tension for a more secure locking position. Just like the Gen-1 Kit, this allows the cocking mechanism to move freely on both the break barrel and underlever rifles. The kit can be used on both synthetic and wood stocks. The GEN-2 kit comes complete with the 3 position folding Bipods, two 5-Slot alloy picatinny rails, and the four installation screws (requires pilot holes in the stock). The Aluminum Bipods are adjustable in height from 9″ to 11.” The kit weighs approximately 12 ounces installed.

Description
This kit was specifically designed by the Airgun Detectives. This provides a stable shooting platform and helps keep the rifle steady through the reverse recoil which is specific to Breakbarrel and Underlever air rifles. Unlike conventional center/rim fire rifles, a spring or gas piston air rifle needs to be held in a stationary position throughout the recoil in order to achieve ultimate accuracy. Prior to the installation of the bipod my groupins were nothing to be excited about. Whether I used artillery hold or supported (rested)the rifle , the results were the same. After watching an episode of Airgun Detectives and seeing the results they were getting with the bipods, I decided to give the bipods a try. What a difference! Now I am able to get 1/2 inch groups at 100 feet. A solid rest now required a resighting of the scope. Bulls eye with 1/2 Inch groups. I was more than impressed . Plinking is fun again. Bought 2 bi-pods. One for my break-barrel air rifle and one for my 89 year old father I take care of. I’ll speak for mine. I had a bi-pod that attached to the barrel that just didn’t quit seem to function as well and was just not as sturdy as I thought it should be. The Side Mounted Bi-Pod/Rail Kits I purchased and easily mounted were night and day better. I am now grouping at thirty yards where i just make each pellet hole larger where before at thirty yards my groups were 1 to 1 1/2″. Great improvement.

Haven’t shot with the bipod yet. But real easy to put on, I have a Crosman F4 Nitro. The hardest part was deciding where to put them, that took me a good 30 or 40 minutes. The actual time to put them on was about 10 minutes. My Crosman stands nice. Real good quality, nothing cheaply made. Well worth the money spent. The wife wants them now, on her rifle. I had some screw issues with mounting the rails on a synthetic stock Walther Parrus. JC took care of it in a hurry and was very responsive. I ended up using SS screws with the synthetic stock. John, I sent you an email regarding the leg locking. This is a really an easy fix and it has happened to only a few out of several hundred. The powder coating is slightly built up in the notch/locking mechanism. What you need to do to remedy this, is detach the leg from the rail. You are going to need to work the locking mechanism by hand, forcing the leg back and forth, numerous times, and moving the locking slide up and down as well. Grip the small portion with a rag, so it doesn’t chew up your hand. Continue to force the mechanism back and forth and after a couple of minutes the leg will lock in place as it was designed. When you are done you can’t move the leg position without the release knob. Read your email for complete details. I already contacted the manufacturer just as a heads-up during production.

If you’re thinking of ordering from Amazon and putting together your own bipod/ rail/ screw set up, Don’t. Avoid the heartache and headache of having an inferior quality product (sometimes defective) at a higher price than that of AGDs. You don’t need 96 extra tapping screws and malfunctioning bipod extension feet do you? I bought these AGD bipods for a violently recoiling and heavy Walther Parrus springer that was a challenge to aim and get decent groups. I watched AGDs channel and followed the directions on how to install the bipods as well as the feature on the Parrus and marvelled how JC was getting tight placements. When I decided I was ready to place my order, I emailed JC and he promptly responded and helped me out and shipped it quickly! I love the customer service and the quality of the product! The design was very well thought of and when i finally got the courage to drill holes in my rifle to install the rails (the screws are perfectly counter sunk!), I re-zeroed my scope and leveled it with the gun, I now get penny sized groups at 25 meters! This was well worth my money and i would install these bipods on all my rifles! They also serve as a display stand for my rifle when i want to admire it during those alone time late nights in the man cave. lol. Can’t wait for more innovative products from this company!

Your instructions in regards to the drill diameter was very helpful. The instructions on the web video are different then the note provided on the invoice. Video states, 2mm or 5/64 and the note on the invoice states 3/32.

The installation video was filmed using the Gen-1 Bipod kit prior to Gen-2. That is why when you purchase the Gen-2 kit, it comes with specific instructions stating the following, “The Gen-2 Bipod kits requires a 3/32” pilot hole for the mounting screws. Also, make sure the pilot hole is deep enough to accommodate the full length of the mounting screws.” We slightly increased the screw diameter with the newer models. Happy Shooting!

I mounted these on a Gamo Whisper Maxxim 10x gen 2 following the directions in the video. If you take your time there is nothing difficult about this install. Took a total of about 15 minutes since I was triple checking everything as I went.
Performance wise these work very well. I found that I needed that extra inch or two with the legs fully extended for my particular shooting style. As far a I can tell this bipod is as accurate as shooting off of soft bags which is what I was doing previously. Stacking pellets and touching pellets (.177) at 50 feet are almost guaranteed. It is exactly what I needed for the rat infestation that I am dealing with in my garden.
The only downside I can see to this kit is that there is a little more play in the legs than I would like however if you keep a slight pressure towards the target it does not affect accuracy in any way.
Finally, my delivery arrived in less than 2 days from when I ordered it with a personalized note. To say the service is exceptional would be an understatement. By all means do not hesitate to buy from Airgun Detectives! It is a company run by good people selling good quality stuff.

Although these bipods are Chinese-made, they are head and shoulders above many out there. They are all-metal, with the exception of the plastic foot bumpers. Fit and finish are very nice.
Yes, you can purchase a bipod for about $20. Most of these mount in the wrong place on a break-barrel air rifle. The ADG bipod allows a more forward mounting position for greater stability. There are no exposed springs on the AGD bipod. Not only are exposed springs noisy, they are almost guaranteed to catch on clothing, brush and the like.

I installed this on a Benjamin Trail NP XL 1100, .22 cal in just a few minutes using the install guide on youtube. It is a fairly heavy rifle at almost 10 lbs, which is in the range of single-purpose long-range centerfire rifles. Overall great experience so far, I’ve put around 250 pellets with my break barrel Gamo swarm maxxim .177 with no issues from the bipods. They’re sturdy, didn’t come loose despite the recoil. Again great product for what it’s designed to do.

Great products, I have a Gamo whisper fusion mach1 .22 and ordered the bi-pod from Gamo that attaches to the barrel. I did not realize how much the barrel moved with that bi-pod until I mounted a laser onto the scope. the cross hairs of the scope did not match the laser dot when I would site with out using the bi-pod. Anyway that has all changed with your bi-pod as well as the trigger screw that I have adjusted at 2.2 pound trigger pull. Thank you for such wonderful products and easy installation.

I believe this is what the doctor ordered. The ADG bipod fits my bill on my Beeman Dual Caliber Air Gun Silver Kodiak X2. This is a break barrel single pump rifle. I found out that a good portion of the rifle’s weight is out in front. So I needed something to rectify my aiming capabilities. Wether I’m using the .22 or the .177 in my opinion this bipod is really the ticket for all types of air rifles plus your smaller caliber cartridge.

Ordered the Gen. 2 Bipod for a Benjamin Trail NP. Watched the install video (which includes images of several guns with the bipod installed, 1 of which was my gun). As with everything JC does, it was very helpful. Although installing this kit is not the most difficult thing to do, if you aren’t sure of your tool usage skills, a good gunsmith should be able to knock this out for you in hardly any time. Quickly received the kit after my order. Well packaged including some install instructions. The bipod is well constructed & adds plenty of support for shooting (or doing a little gunsmithing). A couple of easily depressed knobs enable the legs to be quickly folded forward or back for hand-held shooting. Shooting on an uneven surface? No problem. The length of each leg can be quickly adjusted. The only slight issue is leaving the legs installed while the gun is in a case. Not a big deal as they are easily removed from the rails by a thumb screw. Overall, 5/5

Great service for a great product. It shipped immediately. I easily mounted it to my Gamo Swarm Magnum. This bipod is a high quality product. Very well made. I can’t say that it made a huge improvement in accuracy. But, I think it will reduce the occasional flyers caused by inconsistent grip of the gun. I’m glad I bought this bipod kit.

I ordered the bipod, and the cat trigger screw on 11-25-23 The order came faster than I expected. On 11-28-23 I received the order. I mounted them on my Crosman mag fire extreme. It has a very beefy stock. My only advise is to follow the directions and use the right drill bit. If you go with a smaller bit you run the chances of snapping a screw. The mag fire extreme stock is very hard plastic that excepted the mounts very nicely. I put them right behind the stock screws for easy screw access. I found the bipod to actually help me out with shot placement. It is a very stable platform. Very nice product.
