Description
This screw will replace the stock sear screw used in Gamo’s C.A.T and S.A.T. plastic triggers, it does not fit any other Gamo triggers (It “DOES NOT” fit the metal trigger). The kit will allow a much greater adjustment in which you can lighten the trigger pull weight.
(The kit includes a trigger screw and an allen wrench for installation and adjustment)

Airgun dectives helped me with this. I had to order another allen key because I dropped mine in the woods before i could finish the adjustment. I tried the bump test (hard bumps, bare handed. I’m a carpenter and used to swinging a hammer) Tested 10 times with the same result every time. My Gamo whisper fired on the third bump.
It seems the sear moves a a little each bump and sticks. Then releases on the third. I was told this was normal when the screw is too far in and to back it out. I backed it out 1/2 turn and she passed the test. In 1/4 and she passed again. My trigger is now 1.5 lbs. PERFECT! I’m getting 1/2″ groups @ 30 yds. with a .177 cal. with H&N Barracuda 9.57 gr. Thank You Detectives!

Only problem I ran into was the trigger on my Mach 1 was different than the trigger in the videos, it has an additional small set screw in the middle of the trigger that’s an Allen drive also. It looks very similar to the screw you sent. So when I saw that I thought maybe I was supposed to replace that one, but some research showed that the small trigger screw is for adjustment of the second stage. Other than that, perfect. Thanks!

Dear JCU, I like your new second stage adjustment screw a lot, & I found a good sweet spot. The only thing is it increases the travel length of my CAT trigger too much, I turned first stage screw in much as possible but didn’t help very much, but will live with it. I purchased this Swarm Bone Collector G2 4 weeks ago from amazon after looking at your & many other U-Tube reviews, I shoot a lot, 50 to 100 shots almost daily. I love the rifle & scope, but I hate the 10x auto feed magazines, the pellets don,t stay in and keep jamming. I’ve been using Gamo Rocket 14.5gr, Gamo RedFire 15.4gr & Ruger SUPERPOINT 17gr. I’ve been using a blunt pen tip to push em down like your video, I got disgusted & took the Loader off & went back to using my Easy quick loader that holds around 17 pellets, it’s faster and more relaxing than fighting the two magazines I have. Please see what you could do & recamend for me. I know you’re an expert. I just about wore out my Ruger Air Hawk we’ve had for 12years shooting out of a wheel chair for 6 months on our back deck 25 & 60yd targets. Sincerely, Thank you.

Thomas…Try some Crosman Premier HP 14.3 gr and use the seater. If you are having issues with both magazines then it could be the style of pellets. However, I have found in some of the Gamo magazines you need to increase the spring tension. That is done by carefully removing the small screw and adding a couple of turns to the spring which increases the tension and holds the pellets more securely. Try the Crosman pellets first. Also, as far as the first stage on those triggers, it is suppose to be very soft and somewhat long. You gently bring up the travel and then it hits a light but crisp wall for the 2nd stage. Then it is very predictable in that a little pressure then engages the trigger fully. Happy Shooting

If you are thinking about purchasing one of these trigger adjustment screws, STOP thinking about it and do it. It is the best 10 bucks I have spent in a long time. I have my Gamo trigger adjusted down to a manageable pull. Ozs. instead of Lbs. My groups are much better and shooting off hand (standing) is so much easier. It is very easy to install. Just pay attention, don’t cross thread it. It really is that simple. The allen wrench is included with the screw. It is a 5 min job if you take your time. I HIGHLY recommend this product for anyone that has a CAT or SAT trigger air rifle. You wont regret it.

OK, if you own a Gamo rifle with a CAT, straight up drop $10 and go from liking it to loving it it about 5 minutes. I went from struggling to get 1 inch groups to shooting 10 shot groups without hitting the 13mm ring on the paper… at 40 yards. A Big shout to J.C. @ Airgun Detectives, and a massive thank-you on top. Makes this break-barrel a real keeper. I just mated it to a nice Hawke 3-9×40 AO Mil-dot. You did what you said you would in a timely fashion. Offering those trigger screws for the CAT & SAT triggers is a real service to many in the hobby / industry. I had no trouble installing the screw or adjusting the pull. I don’t have a trigger gauge but I’m very accustomed to the Timney Elite on my bolt rifle. It’s set at 1 lb. Guessing the pull weight of my CAT trigger now, I’d say 1.5 lbs. yet remains stable when bumped. That screw is INDESPENSIBLE and your video was helpful as well.

This screw made a huge difference in my trigger. I don’t understand 2-stage triggers enough to speak in the correct terms, but the stock trigger had a lot of hard creep up to the point of trigger release. It was difficult to know when the trigger would fire. After installing the screw, the creep is now effortless right up to the point of resistance and the trigger breaks cleanly so it’s entirely more consistent.

This is the second kit I purchased in as many weeks. This time I ordered a kit for a neighbor with the same rifle and he is very happy with his “new” trigger. I adjusted his factory trigger to 2lbs and 8.6oz, but with the kit I brought it down to 1lb-15oz. Trigger kit works great! As stated in the instructional video, use a dab of Loctite 242 Blue (Home Depot, Lowes, etc.) on threads to ensure it doesn’t backout over time. Because the supplied allen key isn’t long enough to tighten the screw all the way due to the trigger guard, I straighten the allen key and used a pair of small Vise Grip pliers to hold one end to thread in – much faster!

The Allen wrench is specifically chosen so it forces you to switch to the small end for the final adjustments. This forces you to go a 1/4 turn at a time, so you dial in the safest most functional setting. Happy Shooting!

Worked great, backed out one screw, replaced it with another and lightened my trigger down to 1.3 pds from 3.3pds. Didn’t notice an improvement till about 1/16th of an inch of screw was still protruding. A drop of locktite, pounded the recoil pad half a dozen times as a precaution and shot the best group yet with the new .25. Thank you.

You did good. I followed your direction as described. Once I reached 1/4 turns on the adjustment screw, I stopped. The next day, I picked the gun up, and fired a couple more shots, then turned the screw another 1/4 turn two times. The following day, a couple more 1/4 turns, etc.. I’m now down to 1/4 turns per day, etc..
In other words, wait a day between adjustments. I found not trying to do all my adjustments in one sitting, I had a better feel for the trigger. After adjusting, go back the following day and shoot the gun. If you feel you want to tweak it a little more, give the screw another 1/4 turn. Again, wait a day before doing another 1/4 turn. Do this till you reach your desired trigger pull.
